•Most of this parish comprised the O'Driscoll territory of Glanbarraghan (Glenn Bearcháin), and a small part of the parish was part of the O'Driscoll Mór territory of Collymore.
•Lettertinlish has a ring fort called Lisfahy, probably deriving its name from Clan Fathaidh O'Driscolls.
•Lissarankin was Lios Ui Annrachain, O'Hourihane's fort.
•Toe Head was Tuath Mhuinnter Doirc - tribeland of the O'Durks.
