He was conveyed to the Killarney Hospital, where he was operated upon, but soon after it was deemed necessary to remove him to the South Infirmary, where a further operation was performed, and though his recovery seemed hopeful his condition became worse, with the regrettable ending stated. He was a popular official, whose death is deeply regretted by a wide circle of friends.’
