According to Burke, in the Clancahill Inquisition, the west Cork Connollys held lands in Munnane (Minane?); Lahanaght; Ballyvroig (?); and Kinglyny (?), which formed a portion of the manor of Castledonovan. And purportedly, they were of the same "race" as the O'Donovans.
Cork and Munster Connollys are distinct from the Clan Colla in the north and other Conley and Connolly clans elsewhere on the island.
